Monica Alikoviene is a Cambridge-based oil painter who draws inspiration from nostalgic memories and often-overlooked moments of everyday life. Painting is her way of preserving these fleeting experiences, holding onto the feelings and stories that might otherwise fade. An active member of the Cambridge Drawing Society, Monica regularly exhibits in their biannual shows. In 2024, her work won the Public Favourite Vote at their Spring Exhibition. That same year, she was a finalist at the Art Unlimited International Competition and exhibited at The Malthouse Gallery. Her paintings are now held in private collections across Europe and the United States.

This website was created as a way of finding and supporting artists in towns and cities across the UK.

The site was launched in 2016 by a Hampshire artist, who saw the need for a national directory where artists, galleries, clubs and suppliers could present themselves in an easily accessible environment, outside of conventional social media platforms.
