The aim of this facebook/virtual group is to function as an online Art Gallery, the main focus of which is hobbyists/artists living on the Isle of Wight, but not exclusively so. Whether a hobbyist, up and coming artist or already well established, artists are invited to display their artwork with us. Art lovers also welcome.

About The Local Art Scene

This website was created as a way of finding and supporting artists in towns and cities across the UK.

The site was launched in 2016 by a Hampshire artist, who saw the need for a national directory where artists, galleries, clubs and suppliers could present themselves in an easily accessible environment, outside of conventional social media platforms.

Not all your customers are on social media! Our pages are ranked high on the search engines, enabling our listings to be found more easily through conventional searches, and in most cases our pages are listed in the top 10 of Google and MSN for individual artists and suppliers.
