My photographic collection, a record of places, environments and people encountered on my travels over the years, is my artist’s palette; my digital manipulation techniques my brushes. My themes are varied being surrealistic and/or witty but, hopefully, always thought provoking. They often depict ordinary objects in unusual contexts, challenging observers preconditioned perceptions of reality. They are influenced by pop, minimalist and conceptual art with colour playing an important role. All images and backgrounds are lifted from my photographic collection and digitally engineered. My images are digital and can be printed on various media (e.g. brushed aluminum, acrylic, canvas) and in different sizes.

About The Local Art Scene

This website was created as a way of finding and supporting artists in towns and cities across the UK.

The site was launched in 2016 by a Hampshire artist, who saw the need for a national directory where artists, galleries, clubs and suppliers could present themselves in an easily accessible environment, outside of conventional social media platforms.

Not all your customers are on social media! Our pages are ranked high on the search engines, enabling our listings to be found more easily through conventional searches, and in most cases our pages are listed in the top 10 of Google and MSN for individual artists and suppliers.
